New Delhi: Parts of South Delhi main will witness water supply disruptions tomorrow (October 23) due to some scheduled major maintenance works at Sonia Vihar water treatment plant (WTP). The Delhi Jal Board announced that water supply in South Delhi areas will remain affected for 12 hours on Wednesday starting 10 am. It added that the water supply will not be available on Wednesday evening and Thursday morning.
In a tweet the Delhi Jal Board said, “!!WATER ALERT!! Due to some major maintenance works at Sonia Vihar WTP, the water supply in South Delhi main shall remain affected for 12 hours on 23.10.2024 from 10:00 AM onwards. The water supply will not be available on 23.10.2024(evening) and 24.10.2024(morning). INCONVENIENCE CAUSED IS DEEPLY REGRETTED.”

The DJB advised the city residents in the affected areas to store sufficient quantity of water and added that water tankers will be provided upon request by calling on the DJB’s helpline or central control room.
