Lord Shri Krishna Virajman and seven other people had filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court through lawyer Harishankar Jain demanding an ASI survey in the Shahi Eidgah. It was claimed in the petition that the birthplace of Lord Shri Krishna is below the Shahi Idgah Mosque. There are many indications which establish that the mosque was a Hindu temple. There is a lotus shaped pillar present which is characteristic of Hindu temples. Apart from this, an image of Sheshnag is also present there. He protected Lord Krishna on the night of his birth.
