According to an oneIndia.com report, citing the latest rumours, Vettaiyan is expected to be released online on November 7, 2024. It is believed that the film will be available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video in four languages, around midnight. However, there is no official confirmation about the same so far.

It is to be noted that Vettaiyan failed to make a significant impact at the Box Office, despite massive pre-release buzz. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, the film has only managed to collect ₹240 crore worldwide.
The movie also marked the Tamil debut of Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan. It also featured Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Abhirami and Ramesh Thilak in pivotal roles. Vettaiyan, produced by Subaskaran Allirajah’s Lyca Productions, was released in theatres on October 10, 2024.
