Almora: A Nepali man, Dal Bahadur, mesmerizes the audiences when he displays his unique talent. This man, who performed in Uttarakhand’s Almora, can sing the national anthems of over 160 countries with perfection. Surprisingly, not only does he know the lyrics to these anthems, but he can also perform them with remarkable accuracy.

A personal challenge among the friends made the Dal Bahadur’s passionate about singing national anthems of various countries. His journey started in 2015 when his friends have thrown a challenge before him to learn and sing the national anthems of as many countries as possible. So, he started memorizing anthems by watching YouTube videos and seeking help from friends living both in India and abroad. Over time, he meticulously memorized the anthems by heart, perfecting his pronunciation and delivery.

Dal Bahadur’s travels around the world to perform these anthems

According to the Dal Bahadur, it makes the people from different countries very emotional when they see a foreigner singing their anthem with so much perfection. Besides, many listeners have been brought to tears, while others express astonishment at how a man from Nepal can sing the anthems of so many different nations.

His performance in Almora left the listeners in awe

During his recent visit to Almora, Dal Bahadur was invited to sing a series of national anthems in front of the camera. In this function, he started with India’s national anthem, followed by his own country’s anthem, Nepal’s Sayaun Thunga Phulka. Then he continued with singing the anthems of the United States, China, and France. For the audience present there, his performances were nothing short of a mesmerizing experience. His melodious voice, coupled with perfect pronunciation, left listeners in awe.

Purpose is to promote unity and understanding across the borders

Explaining his purpose, Dal Bahadur said that his project has always been to promote unity and understanding across borders. “Whenever people listen to me singing their national anthem, it feels like I am connecting with them on a very deep level as I am sharing in their pride, their history, and their culture,” he added. Dal Bahadur’s story is a reminder of how small acts of dedication can lead to truly remarkable achievements in every sphere of life.
