Dehradun: The pilgrims, who visit the winter seats of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri, will be given a discount of 25 per cent on rent in the Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam hotels.
The Uttarakhand government took this decision at a meeting chaired by chief minister Pushkar Singh Dami on the premises of the state secretariat. CM Dhami directed the officials to make all the necessary arrangements for the winter tourism destinations. He also underlined the need for extensive publicity in various states through different mediums for this winter Char Dham Yatra.

Dhami said the winter Char Dham Yatra journey will prove to be a game changer in enhancing the state’s economy. He directed the officials to develop the major tourism spots near the winter seats of Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri.

CM reviewed preparations for Char Dham Yatra-2025
Reviewing the preparations for the Char Dham Yatra-2025, CM Dhami instructed the district magistrates concerned to send a report to the government within a week about the challenges faced during the Char Dham Yatra this year. He also sought their suggestions to resolve such problems.
Make arrangement for parking
CM also directed the officials to make proper arrangements for systematic parking near major populated areas and hotels on the Char Dham Yatra routes. He said that the Char Dham Yatra is associated with the honour and respect of the state. “It is our collective responsibility to make the journey comfortable and provide every possible facility to the devotees,” Dhami said.
Increase carrying capacity
Referring to the growing number of devotees in the Char Dham Yatra every year, he said the carrying capacity should be increased in view of the infrastructure development facilities provided in the four shrines. He asked the officials to focus on the development of the mythological sites around the four shrines and they should also be widely publicized. Special attention should be paid to roads, drinking water, sanitation, health facilities and other basic facilities on the Char Dham Yatra routes.
