Benefits for local people and tourists

Uttarakhand is a mountainous state where road travel can be time-consuming and challenging, especially to areas like Bageshwar, Srinagar, Pauri, and Nainital. The new Heli services will make these regions more accessible, benefiting both local residents and tourists. The improved connectivity is expected to boost the tourism industry significantly. Dayanand Saraswati, Additional Chief Executive Officer of Uttarakhand Civil Aviation Development Authority (UCADA), stated, “There is a plan to start five new Heli services this month. All the necessary procedures have been completed. The fare will also be decided soon, and the date will be announced.”

Uttarakhand operates 10 Heli and air services

Currently, Uttarakhand operates 10 Heli and air services, with seven under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS) and three under the Uttarakhand Air Connectivity Scheme. These new Heli services will further enhance connectivity across the state.

New Heli services in Uttarakhand will operate on the following routes

The new heli services in Uttarakhand will operate on the following routes: Dehradun to Bageshwar, Dehradun to Nainital, Dehradun to Srinagar, Dehradun to Pauri, and Haldwani to Bageshwar. Previously, Heli services were available from Dehradun to Srinagar under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS), but this service was discontinued after the scheme ended. Now, the state government has decided to restart this service, which will greatly benefit the people of the Garhwal region.

These Heli services will offer several advantages

The introduction of these Heli services will offer several advantages. Firstly, it will save significant travel time compared to road travel. Secondly, medical emergency services in remote areas will benefit from faster transportation. Lastly, Heli services to tourist destinations like Nainital, Srinagar, Bageshwar, and Pauri will attract more tourists, boosting the tourism industry.

Government will soon announce the fares

The government will soon announce the fares and begin operating the Heli services, making travel in Uttarakhand smoother and more convenient than ever before. With the expansion of Heli services, Uttarakhand is set to enhance its connectivity, benefiting both locals and tourists, and contributing to the state’s overall growth and development.
