Uttarakhand: Dehradun airport achieves second place in AAI’s national customer satisfaction survey

Dehradun: Dehradun’s Jolly Grant Airport has achieved a remarkable milestone by securing the second position in the country in the Customer Satisfaction Survey (CSI) conducted by the Airports Authority of India (AAI).

This recognition marks the second consecutive time Dehradun Airport has earned this accolade, having scored an impressive 4.99 out of 5.

AAI covered approximately 62 airports across the country

The survey, conducted twice a year, evaluates airports based on various parameters to gauge passenger satisfaction. The latest results, released by the AAI, covered approximately 62 airports across the country between July and December last year. Gaggal Airport in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, claimed the top spot with a perfect score of five. Notably, Prayagraj Airport, renowned for the Maha Kumbh, did not make it into the top ten.

Consistent high ranking

Dehradun Airport’s consistent high ranking shows the efforts of its management and staff. The airport was ranked fifth in 2022, third in 2023, and second in 2024, maintaining its position in 2025. The CSI survey assesses airports with lower passenger capacities, while the Airport Service Quality (ASQ) survey evaluates those with capacities exceeding 35 lakh passengers.

Survey encompasses 33 factors

The CSI survey encompasses 33 factors, including boarding facilities, terminal cleanliness, bus services, staff behavior, CISF interactions, internet availability, luggage trolley services, food options, and flight information. These comprehensive criteria ensure a thorough evaluation of passenger experiences.

Goal is to elevate Dehradun Airport to the number one position in the country

With its dedication to providing top-notch services, Dehradun Airport continues to enhance its reputation as a premier aviation hub, contributing to the growth and development of Uttarakhand’s tourism and transportation sectors.
