Jaunpur: A group of eunuchs staged a half-naked protest at Shaheed Umanath Singh District Hospital, located near Nagar Kotwali in Jaunpur. During the incident, three health workers, including a doctor, were reportedly assaulted and injured.
According to reports, a patient had been admitted to the emergency ward and was being treated around 8:45 p.m. At that time, a group of individuals arrived at the hospital and demanded that their patient be treated first. The situation gradually escalated when the doctors refused to prioritize the new patient.
Soon after, the group returned to the hospital accompanied by 15–20 eunuchs. The eunuchs allegedly attacked Dr. Pawan Singh, who was on duty, along with nursing officer Ashish Singh. When a health worker named Amit Singh attempted to intervene, he was also assaulted.
Attack on the Emergency Table
Eyewitnesses stated that the eunuchs climbed onto the emergency table and began attacking everyone present. Reportedly, many of them were completely naked. After the attack, the eunuchs fled the hospital premises. Hospital staff expressed deep concern over the terrifying nature of the incident occurring within a medical facility.

A video of the assault—showing half-naked eunuchs beating people on the emergency table—quickly went viral on social media. The clip sparked widespread outrage and raised serious questions about the safety and security of healthcare professionals and hospital environments.
Following the incident, Dr. Pawan Singh filed a complaint at the nearest police station. An FIR has been registered, and investigations are currently underway. According to officials, the culprits will be brought to justice as soon as possible.
