Hyderabad: Union Minister and BJP Telangana President G Kishan Reddy criticised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for making what he called “false and irresponsible” statements about India’s armed forces. Speaking to the media, Kishan Reddy highlighted the success of Operation Sindoor, which he said was carried out under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership. He claimed that the Indian Air Force destroyed nine terrorist camps in Pakistan within 23 minutes. This, he said, was confirmed by both Pakistan’s Prime Minister and its army. The operation, according to Reddy, was supported by video evidence and gained attention globally.
He accused Revanth Reddy and Rahul Gandhi of spreading lies and raising doubts about the Indian military’s achievements. “Instead of asking how many terrorists were eliminated, they ask how many Rafale jets were shot down. Even Pakistan didn’t say such things,” Reddy said, calling it an insult to the bravery of Indian soldiers.
He also alleged that Revanth Reddy copied Rahul Gandhi’s lines from Delhi and turned national security into a political joke. He criticised Congress for questioning the military at a time when the entire nation was united in support of the forces.
Reddy also questioned Congress’s record on national security, saying that during the UPA years, terror attacks went unchecked. He said that it was only after Modi became Prime Minister that India began responding strongly—with surgical strikes, air strikes, and now Operation Sindoor.
He mentioned Rahul Gandhi’s past claim that Congress could have captured Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) if he were in power. Reddy pointed out that Congress had the chance after the 1971 war but failed to act, instead releasing 93,000 Pakistani prisoners of war without reclaiming PoK.
He defended the Modi government’s steps like scrapping Article 370, which he said helped restore democracy in Kashmir. He also praised schemes like Agniveer and Digital India, which Rahul Gandhi had earlier mocked.
Reddy called Congress and BRS family-run parties, accusing them of focusing only on their personal gains. He said such politics harms the nation’s image and weakens the unity needed to fight external threats.
