Chennai: Tamil Nadu-based Popular food vlogger Mohamed Irfan, known for his channel Irfan’s View, has sparked controversy after sharing a video documenting his wife’s childbirth on his YouTube channel. The video, which shows Irfan cutting the umbilical cord, has raised questions about hospital protocols and privacy.
This is not Irfan’s first brush with controversy, as he previously faced a legal notice for revealing the gender of his unborn child during a trip to Dubai, violating India’s Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PCPNDT) Act.
Irfan Caught in Controversy Again: Birth Video Sparks Outrage
After the Tamil Nadu Health Department issued a warning, Irfan apologized and deleted the video, avoiding legal action. Now, the medical department has requested Irfan to remove the childbirth video from YouTube, and an investigation has been ordered through the Zonal Health Department Officers. Director of Medical and Rural Services, Rajamurthy, confirmed that a complaint will be filed against Irfan.
Irfan, a renowned YouTuber with over 4 million followers, has been in the spotlight for his content, which often features unique foods and places in Tamil Nadu. However, this recent controversy has put him in the spotlight for all the wrong reasons yet again.
