UCC (Uniform Citizenship Code) is going to be implemented soon in Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had promised the public to implement Uniform Citizenship Code in the state after the assembly elections, which the Chief Minister is now going to fulfill. The Chief Minister himself gave this information on social media.
On February 2, the committee formed to prepare the draft of the Uniform Civil Code will submit its draft to the state government. After which, on February 5, Chief Minister Dhami will table the draft in the Assembly session.
The Chief Minister said that the government is going to fulfill the promises made to the public. On February 2, the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Justice Ranjana Prakash Desai on UCC will submit the draft to the government. After this, the committee’s report will be discussed in the cabinet meeting and presented in the assembly session. Then it will be implemented.
At the same time, Chief Minister Dhami had formed a 5-member committee to implement UCC in the state. To prepare this draft, suggestions were sought from every section of the society. The responsibility of which was given to the formed committee. This committee has prepared this draft after taking suggestions from every section.
