TV9 Network’s Highway Heroes Season-2 begins, focuses on truck drivers’ health and well-being

New Delhi: The TV9 Network has launched its campaign “Highway Heroes: Trucker Fit to India Hit Season 2”. The campaign is aimed at empowering truck drivers across the country. TV9 Network’s ‘Highway Heroes Season-2 has started with full enthusiasm. Shriram Finance is the main partner of the campaign, While Apollo Hospitals is the healthcare partner.

The campaign has started with from Himachal Pradesh’s Truck Union in Nalagarh. Congress leader and incumbent MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary and former MLA Paramjit Singh Pammi (BJP) participated in the programme’s inaugural ceremony. During the event, Shriram Finance Director (Sales and CSR Head) S. Balamurugan was also present.

The day started with a yoga session where truck drivers were taught yoga asanas specially designed for them. The session was conducted by Dr. Hansa Yogendra Yoga Institute and was led by Vinay Zende and Dheeraj Rathod. Experts say Yoga can help truck drivers improve their body flexibility, stress relief and energy levels.

After the yoga session, a Financial Literacy session was also organized. During this session, Narendra Singh Jamwal gave information to the truck drivers about money management, savings and smart investments. He also informed drivers how one can secure their future with better planning.

After yoga, health information to drivers

Later, truck drivers were informed about the health planning. The Piramal Health team informed drivers about the symptoms eye and TB diseases. They were given information about precautions and treatment for these diseases. Rahul Sharma, a pharmacist, and Dr. Omkar Verma gave important information through this session. A large number of truck drivers have registered for the program.

‘Highway Heroes: Trucker Fit to India Hit’ Season 2 is a 2-day event. A good number of truck drivers participated on the first day of this event. MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary praised TV9 Network and Shriram Finance and for the campaign and said they are doing a great job for the mental, financial and physical well-being of truck drivers.

What is Highway Heroes?

Highway Heroes is a special campaign being jointly conducted by TV9 Network and Shriram Finance. The aim of this campaign is to improve the lives of truck drivers. Truck drivers are the pulse of the country’s economy. They drive the country’s economy, but have very little knowledge about health as well as proper use of their finances. Shriram Finance and TV9 Network’s joint Highway Heroes campaign offers them help through yoga, health checkups, financial training and respect.
