TV9 Network’s ‘Highway Heroes’ campaign reaches Maharashtra; drivers get certificates

TV9 Network and Shriram Finance’s ‘Highway Heroes’ has reached Kalamboli in Maharashtra. In the initiative to support the highway heroes, which is truck drivers, Navi Mumbai’s ACP Traffic Vitthal Kubde and television actors were present at the occasion. TV9 Network CGO Raktim Das, Shriram Finance Limited CRS Head S. Balamurugan and ‘Bal Transport’ CMD Bal Malkit Singh were also present at the event.

Special certificate handed to truck driversNext stop of ‘Highway Heroes’: Gandhidham

Vitthal Kubde cut the ribbon and discussed road safety rules with all the truck drivers present there. He also showered praise on the initiative by TV9 Network and Shriram Finance. Panchayat fame Sunita Rajwar, fellow actors Hunar Hali and Poonam Jhawar, and director Sanjay Sharma participated in the campaign.

Special certificate handed to truck drivers

Truck drivers have got a special certificate, whose value is equivalent to 12th pass certificate, after completing the training recognised by the Skill India program of the Government of India. The training period is completed inside three hours, wherein truck drivers are taught new technology and tips for safe driving. This certificate allows drivers to renew their driving license without any additional training.

Apart from the technical aspect of driving, the Highway Heroes campaign also focuses on the mental, physical and financial health of the drivers. Yoga Session (Mental Physical Fitness), Health Awareness and Free Checkup, and Financial Literacy and Money Management are the three major sessions held in the training to strengthen the other aspects of driving.

Next stop of ‘Highway Heroes’: Gandhidham

The next stop of the Highway Heroes initiative will be the Gandhidham city of Gujarat on April 25 and 26. The truck drivers enrolling for the training will get the chance to build mental, physical and financial health along with the technical skills. The following stops of the campaign are Indore, Bengaluru, Chennai and Hyderabad. The key reason behind this campaign is to support the heroes who are backbone of the country’s economy… our Highway Heroes.
