Bengaluru: The ‘Highway Heroes’ campaign jointly organised by Shriram Finance and TV9 Network is set to begin from May 2 in Karnataka capital Bengaluru. The two-day event will take place on May 2 and 3 at Devaraj Urs Truck Terminal in Industrial Suburb, 2nd Stage, Yeshwanthpur.
The campaign is aimed at empowering truck drivers mentally, physically, and financially. As part of the ‘Highway Heroes’ campaign, the participants will also receive a ‘Level 4 training certificate’ intended to enhance their technical skills.
Key highlights of the ‘Highway Heroes’ campaign
Mental Wellness: Yoga sessions by experts from ‘The Yoga Institute’ will focus on stress management, mental well-being, and maintaining physical health through yogasanas and stretching.
Physical Health: TB awareness sessions will be conducted by specialists from Piramal Swasthya’ for educating drivers on tuberculosis and ways to prevent it.
Financial Literacy: Experts from the National Stock Exchange (NSE) will lead sessions on budgeting, savings, and protecting against cyber fraud.
Skill India Training: Government-recognized training will be provided with an award to drivers of “12th Plus Value” certificate. This certification helps drivers with driving license renewal and is valid in over 90 countries.
With the participation in the campaign, the truck drivers are expected to bring positive changes to their lives across various dimensions. The upcoming events of ‘Highway Heroes’ in Chennai and Vijyawada will be held on May 6–7 and May 9–10 respectively.
All truck drivers are encouraged to attend this campaign and take a step toward improving their health, mindset, and financial stability.
