New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) top leadership will lead the campaigning for upcoming assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
PM Modi to lead campaign
According to sources, the campaign will be led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The PM will hold 5-10 rallies in the Union Territory.
Union home minister Amit Shah and defence minister Rajnath Singh too will hold around 10-15 rallies, while BJP president JP Nadda will address 15-20 rallies.
BJP list for first phase on August 21
Meanwhile, G Kishen Reddy, MOS In PMO Dr Jitendra Singh and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh have been assigned the task of screening the candidates for the 90 assembly seats. The saffron party could likely release its candidates for first phase on August 21.
The voting in the UT will take place in three phases on September 18, 25 and October 1, while the counting will take place on October 4.
