“Through Sadhguru, World Is Understanding True Knowledge Of Sanatana”: Amit Shah

26 February 2025: “Sadhguru is teaching the way of living to the entire world. Through you, Sadhguru, the entire world is understanding Sanatana—that true knowledge is understanding oneself, and the direction to change the world comes by changing oneself,” said Union Home Minister Shri Amit, speaking at the Mahashivratri celebrations at Isha Yoga Center in Coimbatore this evening.

“Today marks the culmination of the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, and I can see a Mahakumbh of devotion here in Coimbatore,” observed the Hon’ble Home Minister.

Sharing his experience of being at Isha Yoga Center, he added, “Coming here, one can experience a journey from consciousness to collective consciousness, from self-interest to ultimate welfare, and from self to the universe.”

Sadhguru later unveiled the Miracle of Mind App, featuring a free 7-minute guided meditation. The app aims to empower individuals to establish a daily meditation practice that seamlessly fits into their schedule. The app has shattered tech records crossing 1 million downloads in just 15 hours of its launch, outpacing major tech hits like ChatGPT (which reached 1 million users in 5 days), CALM (1 million in 4 years), and Headspace (1 million in 2 years).

Besides Shah, the Governors of Odisha and Punjab Dr. Kambhampati Hari Babu and Shri Gulab Chand Kataria (respectively), Shri Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs and Shri L Murugan Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, the Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Shri D. K. Shivakumar; Hon’ble Minister of Soil and Water Conservation, Maharashtra Shri Sanjay Rathod; Shri S. P. Velumani and Dr. M.C. Sudhakar, MLAs from Tamil Nadu and Karnataka, respectively; and BJP leader from Tamil Nadu Shri Annamalai were also present. Mahashivaratri is Isha’s grandest annual festival and is conducted in the presence of Adiyogi every year. Sadhguru leads the proceedings through the night.

Earlier in the evening, Sadhguru received Shri Amit Shah at the Yoga Center where the Minister, along with other dignitaries, attended the Pancha Bhuta Kriya (cleansing of the five elements) conducted by Sadhguru at the Dhyanalinga, a unique and powerful energy form consecrated by Sadhguru as a doorway to liberation.

He was then accompanied to the iconic Adiyogi, the main venue for the celebrations. The Minister offered Kailash Teertham to Yogeshwara Linga and opened the night-long celebrations by lighting the Mahayoga Yagna to symbolize the spread of Yoga around the world. The festivities began with the spectacular Linga Bhairavi Utsav Murti procession and Maha Aarti.

Welcoming the dignitaries and honourable Home Minister, Sadhguru said “Our Union Home Minister’s work in some way a reflection of what Sardar Patel did at that time. And this is fantastic because we must understand, without maintaining the basic sovereignty and law and order in the country, all other aspirations of economic development, of education, of technology, of spirituality, everything will go in waste.”

Talking about the significance of Mahashivaratri, Sadhguru said, “No matter what religion, race, creed, caste, whatever you are, if you are human and you have an erect spine, Mahashivratri is relevant for you, Adiyogi is relevant for you, the yogic sciences are absolutely relevant for you.”
