’92 years mai ek bar toh allowed hai’: Rohit & Co. bashed after Kiwis whitewash India

New Delhi: New Zealand defeated India by 25 runs in the third Test at the Wankhede Cricket Stadium in Mumbai and inflicted a 3-0 whitewash on India in India. The Blackcaps became the first team to whitewash the Men in Blue at home since 2000.

Rohit and Co. failed to chase a 147-run target on Day 3. Rohit, Virat, Shubman and Yashasvi lost their wickets cheaply in just 7 overs. Rishabh Pant stitched crucial partnerships with Jadeja and Sundar to help India fight back in the match. He scored 64 runs off 57 balls with the help of 9 boundaries and 1 maximum.

Ajaz Patel picked up six wickets while Glenn Phillips also took three wickets. Earlier, the New Zealand batters scored 235 runs in the first innings after captain Tom Latham opted to bat first. Daryl Mitchell and Will Young stitched an 87-run partnership. Mitchell scored 82 runs off 129 balls while Will Young also scored 71 runs off 138 balls. Jadeja picked up 5 wickets and Sundar took 4 wickets.

India suffered a mini-collapse in the first innings but a 96-run partnership between Pant and Gill helped India to make a comeback in the match. Gill scored 90 runs and Pant scored 60 runs in the first innings. For New Zealand, Ajaz Patel picked up 5 wickets.

New Zealand bundled out for 174 runs in the second innings. Ravindra Jadeja picked up 5 wickets and Ashwin also took 3 wickets. But the Indian top order failed again and The Men in Blue bowled out for 121 runs in the second innings.

Shambolic performance from India..poor batting from Indian batters..need to win 4 test to qualify.. #INDvsNZ

What’s funny is this series win for New Zealand is also embarrassing to England. They came with big talk against almost this very same Indian side and could do little.

NZ didn’t open their mouth and just went about their work on the field. They didn’t even have Kane.#INDvsNZ

We switched from the golden era of the Indian team to the garbage era of the indian team. #INDvsNZ pic.twitter.com/4LVkUfH50E

Don’t let people think the match was close. It was Rishabh Pant who made it close. NZ bullied us at our home. The rest of the team should be ashamed. Gambhir should resign today. RoKo should reflect on their career now. Absolute shambolic. Death of cricket. #INDvsNZ #INDvNZ

Congratulations Newzeland , you made a very difficult thing that is not possible by any other foreign country in India in recent times, its pure determination class and hardwork result , no excuses you have outplayed India in all aspects. #INDvsNZ

Yet another failure for Rohit Sharma. This is very concerning for Team India. He is just looking very uncomfortable #IndvsNZ

First ODI series loss in Sri Lanka in 27 years. First Test series whitewash in India ever. Gautam Gambhir has made a rollicking start as Coach. 😀 #INDvsNZ
