A dashcam is a small camera which is installed in the vehicle’s dashboard or windscreen (in front of the driver). It is used to record the view of the road, traffic etc wherever the vehicle goes. It can also be used to record the interior of the vehicle.

‘Passenger safety first priority’

In social media platform X, an account named Nagara Metered Auto posted a video which shows a dashcam installed in an autorickshaw. The note written on the screen of autorickshaw reads “Always safety first.” Below there was a quote written by Mahatma Gandhi which is, “A customer is the most important visitor on our premises, he is not dependent on us. Netizen’s reactions

The auto driver received very well appreciation from the netizens. Some users also raised their concern that such auto drivers are very rare and most of them are hostile towards the customer.

A user wrote, “Great…very rare to see good people like him.. he honesty needs to be rewarded..so that whoever takes his auto should come on their own and tip him extra. ..when we all complain on bad experiences good people needs our appreciation..”

another user wrote, “For everything there will be an exception. But the fact cannot be denied that 95% of auto drivers never budge to any customer let it be of any age. Either an extra money is demanded or they will refuse.Inspite of we knowing fact we await autos and 15/ Km is insane.”
