Why is Armed Forces Flag Day celebrated?

Armed Forces Flag Day, observed annually on December 7, celebrates the courage and dedication of the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force. Established in 1949 by the Defense Minister’s Committee, the day aims to honor soldiers and raise funds for their welfare. Over the years, this initiative has become a symbol of national solidarity and gratitude towards the armed forces.
