‘That’s so sick’: Delhi man finds centipede in meal served at IRCTC’s VIP lounge

New Delhi: A man was shocked to find a live centipede in his food while dining at one of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s (IRCTC) VIP lounges. The man took to social media to express his disappointment. He also shared an image of the unhygienic food served to him. Netizens were appalled and lashed out at authorities.

A man named Aaraynsh Singh shared his disastrous experience on X. In his post, Singh sarcastically dissed IRCTC for their food quality. He wrote, “Yes, for sure, Indian Railway food quality has improved, now they are serving raita with more protein.” In the thread, Singh raised concerns about the food served in regular trains and pantry cars. He also described how people at the lounge reacted to finding the insect in the food. The man claimed that people criticised the authorities but, ironically, went back to eating the same food.

Meanwhile, IRCTC also took notice of Singh’spost. They apologized for the incident and asked Singh to share details.
