New Delhi: An extremely disturbing incident has come to light from Bengaluru where an auto driver misbehaved with two girls and manhandled them. The driver got enraged after the ride was cancelled and slapped one of the girls.

The video of the incident has gone viral on social media, and netizens have expressed their wrath over it.

One can gather from the viral video that the dispute started when the auto driver started arguing with the girls when his ride was cancelled by the girls. After watching the video of the incident, people said that the Bengaluru Police should take strict action against the auto driver.

‘Does your father pay for the gas?’

In the video, it can seen that the auto driver raising his voice against the girls sitting in another auto. The girl says, “Why are you shouting?” Reacting to it, the enraged auto driver says, “Tera baap deta hai kya gas (Does your father pay for the gas?)” Then, a girl replies that if he continues to misbehave like this, then she will complain to the police.

The safety of women is of utmost importance. If, in broad daylight, this individual was able to assault two women merely for canceling a ride due to an issue, one can only imagine the potential dangers he could pose in more secluded settings. The man then says, “Okay, let’s go to the police station.” In the video, the girl can be heard saying that what mistake did she commit by cancelling the ride. “You also cancel our rides.” After this, the auto driver slaps the girl. A crowd gathers at the place following this as the girl in a broken voice says, “Why did he slap her?”

The netizens raised concern over the issue and questioned if the ride-sharing companies conduct background checks of their drivers or not.
