Telangana High Court grants bail to choreographer Jani Basha

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court on Thursday granted bail to Choreographer Jani Basha also popularly known as ‘Jani Master’, tv9 telugu reported.

He was arrested on September 19 in a rape case and was booked under POCSO Act for assaulting an assistant choreographer who was underage at the time.

A 21-year-old woman filed a complaint against the choreographer for sexual harassment, rape and multiple threats on several occasions.

In her complaint, the woman said that he would harass her on outdoor film shoots in various cities including Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against him under the sections of the IPC 376,506, 323 (2) for rape, criminal intimidation, voluntarily causing hurt.

He was sent to 14-day judicial remand and was lodged in Chanchalguda jail for the last two weeks.
