New Delhi: Minister for Consumer Affairs Pralhad Joshi on Wednesday asserted that the Central Consumer Protection Authority has issued notices to several e-commerce companies, including Amazon, Flipkart and BuyIndia, among others, over the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise.
Joshi asked e-commerce companies to adhere to the national laws, adding that any violation will not be tolerated.

“The CCPA has issued notices to @amazonIN,
@Flipkart, @UbuyIndia, @Etsy, The Flag Company and The Flag Corporation over the sale of Pakistani flags and related merchandise. Such insensitivity will not be tolerated,” Joshi posted on X.
“E-commerce platforms are hereby directed to immediately remove all such content and adhere to National laws,” he added.
This comes after India and Pakistan engaged in a standoff following the brutal terror attack in the Baisaran meadow of Pahalgham in which 26 people were killed.
