New Delhi: It’s King Khan’s birthday today (November 2)! It is common knowledge that Shah Rukh Khan’s abode, Mannat, is one of the most iconic landmarks in Mumbai. Flocks of fans visit the mansion daily to be in the actor’s presence. So, it is obvious that his birthday would intensify the excitement to see their favourite actor. For years on end, SRK’s fans have gathered in front of Mannat to witness their idol walk out of his balcony and wave to them.
This year the Mumbai police and the actor’s personal security have made sure that the security is air-tight not to let any crazy fan inside. While fans speculate that the security is due to a gangster, Lawrence Bishnoi, preceding years’ clips suggest that the security has always been similar, a barricade line with space for the paparazzi in the front. The house has been similarly guarded for EId too.
SRK’s 59th birthday – security at Mannat increases
In a clip shared by ViralBhayani on Instagram, lines of yellow Mumbai Police barricades stand tall in front of the Mannat. The place is secure every year, sure. But, fans cannot help but think that some extra sets have been added to ensure the actor’s safety. Shah Rukh Khan’s Mannat is known to have 24/7 round-the-clock security. Dunki’s actor Vikram Kocchar previously called the security ‘airport-like’ as everything was scanned before entering the main gate of the house.
As for his birthday celebrations, Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan was seen blinged up at their Mumbai residence to possibly surprise her father. A fan who waited outside the mansion claimed that the family left their home at 11:45 pm to celebrate the big day. Another Viral Bhayani clip confirmed this as SRK was seen leaving Mannat with a police convoy for protection. While fans waited for the actor to turn up to his balcony like he does every year as the clock struck 12, seems like SRK would not be making his yearly balcony appearance. Fans hope to get a glimpse of the star in the morning, but there is no confirmation as to when the actor will greet his fans.
This year, SRK will reportedly be spending his 59th birthday with close friends from the industry and family members. As per an IndiaToday report, Gauri Khan has sent over 250 guests invites for the grand birthday bash.
