PM to inaugurate major projects at J&K

PM Modi is scheduled to inaugurate the world’s highest railway arch bridge over Chenab, the country’s first cable-stayed bridge, Anji Bridge and then he will flag off the Vande Bharat Express trains between Katra and Srinagar. He will also lay the foundation stone for multiple infrastructural and health related projects, including the district’s first medical college in Reasi.

The security apparatus has been intensified in view of the perceptions of threat following the April 22 Pahalgam attack that led to the loss of 26 innocent lives. Security forces have been deployed with surveillance drones and combing operations especially in the border areas.

Traffic diversions and restrictions on movement will be enforced on Friday, especially around Katra Stadium where the PM is expected to address a public rally.
