Saud Shakeel stands tall for Pakistan in Rawalpindi with spirited fourth Test century

New Delhi: Saud Shakeel stood tall for Pakistan on the second day of the third Test match against England in Rawalpindi as the stylish batter smashed a sensational century taking the hosts into a better position. While the openers and the middle-order batters of the Men in Green fell like a pack of cards, Shakeel kept his cool under tough circumstances to take out his team from danger to a certain extent.

In reply to England’s first-innings score of 267, Pakistan lost as many as four batters inside 100 runs and that’s when the talented Shakeel came into play. While more wickets kept tumbling at the other end at regular intervals, Shakeel stood like a wall on the crease completing his fourth Test century. Reading the situation of the match perfectly, Shakeel chose not to hurry and rather played a much composed knock.
