Sachin, Irfan slam senior Indian players for humiliating loss in Pune Test

New Delhi: Legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday slammed the team for their humiliating loss against New Zealand in the Pune Test, which cost them the Test series. India were defeated by the Kiwis by 113 runs in the second Test match and as a result of it, they won the three-game series 2-0. This was India’s first home Test series loss since 2012.

Tendulkar specifically took a dig at the senior Indian players for not stepping up in a must-win game. The likes of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli failed miserably in the entire series and specifically the second Test match, facing a lot of humiliation. The veteran Indian cricketer on the other end praised the Black caps for their efforts saying that they did what they could not do in all these years.
