‘Ready to review concerns’: EC invites Congress over Maharashtra election results

New Delhi: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday invited the Congress delegation on December 3 to review the party’s concerns over the recent Maharashtra Election results. With the MVA suffering massive defeat in the state recently, the Congress wrote letter to the election body claiming ‘inconsistency’ in polls.

“Election Commission of India invites the Indian National Congress (INC) delegation on December 3, 2024. ECI in its interim response to INC reiterate a transparent process with the involvement of candidates/their agents at every stage. ECI assures review of INC’s all legitimate concerns and written response after hearing them in person. In its interim response to INC, ECI reiterates transparent electoral roll updation process with the involvement of political parties. The Commission has still assured INC of further review of all its legitimate concerns,” the statement by the commission said on Saturday.
