Mumbai: Maharashtra cabinet has passed a resolution asking the Centre to honour Ratan Tata with the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian award. This request was made by Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena on Thursday, a day after Ratan Tata’s death on Wednesday night.
Shiv Sena leader Rahool Kanal had written to CM Shinde, urging him to propose Ratan Tata’s name for the Bharat Ratna.
