Rajasthan: Elderly couple commits suicide after children tell to beg for living

New Delhi: In a shameful incident reported from Rajasthan’s Nagaur district, children of an elderly couple told them to take a bowl and beg for a living. Harassed and feeling insulted, the couple ended their lives by jumping from a water tank. The couple also left a suicide note where they detailed the reasons for taking the extreme step.

Police said the two children of the deceased couple wanted tp grab the property of their parents. In their suicide note, the couple stated that they were beaten up their sons and daughter-in-laws and were threatened with death. The accused also stopped giving them food and told them to go begging for a living.

Bodies recovered from water tank

The deceased couple have been identified as Hazariram Bishnoi (70) and his wife Chawali Devi (68), who had two sons and two daughters. The bodies of the couple were recovered on Thursday from the water tank, said a report in NDTV.

Before taking the extreme step, the couple pasted the note on the wall of their home accused their sons Rajendra and Sunil of beating them multiple times. The couple also stated that their children warned them not to file any complaint or they would kill them in sleep.

Children got transferred 3 plots by cheating

The couple also stated that their son and daughters wanted to grab all their property by any means and even their relatives provoked his family members to grab the property.

In their suicide note, the couple also alleged that their children also transferred three plots and a car in their name by fraudulent means. The deceased couple, in the note, also accused their sons of abusing them on phone and refusing them food.
