This heartbreaking accident brings back a similar tragedy that occurred a month back in Jaipur, where four children, three of whom were girls, drowned in a pond. The incident took place in the village of Kakadiyan ki Dhani near the Dudu area. A group of goat herders had stopped near a pond, and while bathing, Kamlesh Devi (18), slipped into the pond.
As she was drowning, three others jumped to save her, Vinod Kumar, Rameshwari and Hema Bawariya, all of whom drowned tragically.
Locals and families were notified and all the four bodies were recovered after a three-hour search and rescued effort. Police said that all of them belonged from the same village.
