Jaipur: A tragic road accident took place in the Sabla police station area of Dungarpur district, Rajasthan. The incident occurred near the Pindwal Hilavdi bus stand when a cruiser jeep lost control and veered off the road. The jeep was returning from a wedding in Pindwal village and heading towards Bodigama.
After the jeep accident, several people from nearby areas gathered at the site to help the injured. An ambulance also reached the location to provide assistance. However, while rescue efforts were underway, a speeding truck coming from Sabla ran over the people who had come to help, along with some of the injured.
The truck also overturned at the accident site. It crushed the already damaged jeep, three bikes parked nearby, and even collided with the ambulance that had arrived.
According to Sabla police station officer Raghuveer Singh, four people died in the accident, and eight others were injured. Some individuals got trapped under the truck. All the injured have been admitted to Sagwara Hospital for treatment, and the bodies of the deceased have been kept in the hospital mortuary.
The police are investigating the incident further.
