New Delhi: Reacting to Maharashtra Assembly Election results, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called the outcome as “unexpected”. He said, “The results of Maharashtra are unexpected and we will analyse them in detail. Thanks to all the voter brothers and sisters of the state for their support and to all the workers for their hard work.”

‘Victory of protection of jal, jangal, zameen’‘Priyanka will transform Wayanad’

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Mahayuti is all set to emerge victorious in Maharashtra Elections with more than 130 seats. The Mahayuti is poised to cross the majority mark of 145 in the 288-member Maharashtra Assembly and form the new government in the state.

‘Victory of protection of jal, jangal, zameen’

Gandhi also lauded the Jharkhand Assembly Election Results, where the Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM)-led INDIA bloc bagged majority of seats. Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s JMM came out as the single-largest party, with 34 seats. He dubbed INDIA bloc’s victory in Jharkhand as a “victory of the protection of jal, jangal, zameen (water, forest and land) along with the Constitution”.

‘Priyanka will transform Wayanad’

Lauding Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her landslide win on her poll debut from Kerala’s Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency, Gandhi said she will transform Wayanad into a beacon of progress with her dedication.

Taking to X, he wrote: “I feel immense pride as my family in Wayanad has placed its trust in Priyanka. I know she will lead with courage, compassion and unwavering dedication to transform our cherished Wayanad into a beacon of progress and prosperity.”

Priyanka Gandhi secured a significant victory in the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll on Saturday. The seat was vacated by Rahul Gandhi after he was elected to the Lok Sabha from both Rae Bareli and Wayanad in the Lok Sabha elections held in April-May.
