In her tweets, Priti explained that she earned 58,000 membership reward points by spending Rs 4 lakh on her American Express Platinum card. She converted these points into Marriott Bonvoy points, Marriott’s loyalty rewards and used 25,000 Bonvoy points to book her stay.

Thanks to a 30 per cent bonus promotion, her 58,000 AMEX points turned into a three-night stay worth Rs 1.5 lakh. With the upgrades and complimentary breakfast, she estimated the total value of her stay at nearly Rs 3 lakh. “That’s an INSANE VALUE right there,” Priti said.

“The hotel offers breathtaking vistas of the Himalayan foothills. Whether from our suite or the poolside, every angle was picture-perfect. An ideal retreat,” she said.

During the trip, Priti and her husband enjoyed complimentary high tea, evening Ganga aarti on the deck, live music and special treats like a Negroni cake for her husband’s birthday.

She concluded her posts by saying, “Next time someone declares credit cards are useless or bad, just drop this thread like a mic. Let’s see how they handle the facts.”
