Pune: A chartered accountant from Pune shared on X how she managed to enjoy a luxury holiday at the Westin Himalayas Marriott resort in Uttarakhand without spending a single rupee.

Priti Jain said that she stayed for three days in a room worth Rs 90,000 per night, including complimentary breakfast. She was upgraded to a Premier Room on the first day and then to an Executive Suite for the next two days, which she described as feeling “like royalty.”

In her tweets, Priti explained that she earned 58,000 membership reward points by spending Rs 4 lakh on her American Express Platinum card. She converted these points into Marriott Bonvoy points, Marriott’s loyalty rewards and used 25,000 Bonvoy points to book her stay.

Thanks to a 30 per cent bonus promotion, her 58,000 AMEX points turned into a three-night stay worth Rs 1.5 lakh. With the upgrades and complimentary breakfast, she estimated the total value of her stay at nearly Rs 3 lakh. “That’s an INSANE VALUE right there,” Priti said.

During the trip, Priti and her husband enjoyed complimentary high tea, evening Ganga aarti on the deck, live music and special treats like a Negroni cake for her husband’s birthday.
