PM Narendra Modi to hold roadshow in Gujarat today, inaugurate development projects worth Rs 53,000 crore

Vadodara: PM Narendra Modi will be on a 2-day visit to Gujarat starting Monday. This is the PM’s first visit to his home state post the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’. A grand welcome is planned for him at the Vadodara airport. The ceremony holds significance as the PM will be welcomed at the airport, mostly by women.

Following the welcome ceremony, PM Modi will lead a 1 kilometre-long roadshow, post which he will leave for Dahod.

Railway projects to be inaugurated

In Dahod, PM Modi will dedicate to the nation, a 9000 horsepower rail engine. This is India’s first indigenously built rail engine, under the flagship, ‘Make in India campaign. Along with this, he will inaugurate railway projects worth Rs 2,287 crore.

The projects to be inaugurated on Monday include doubling of Anand-Godhra, Mehsana-Palanpur and Rajkot-Hadmatiya railway lines, 107 km electrification of Sabarmati-Botad railway line and gauge conversion of Kalol-Kadi-Katosan railway line.

New Vande Bharat train for Gujarat

The total value of the railway projects to be inaugurated will be Rs 23,692 crore. Gujarat will also receive a new Vande Bharat train. This is the first visit of the PM to his home state, post Operation Sindoor and he will be here for the next 2 days.

Apart from Railway projects, the PM is also set to gift development schemes worth Rs 53,414 crore to the public. He will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 33 development projects, during his visit. These development projects are set to be launched in Dahod, Bhuj and Gandhinagar.

Inauguration of Char Juth Sudhrana Pani Purva Yojana

The PM will also inaugurate the Rs 181 crore Char Juth Sudhrana Pani Purva Yojana. This project aims to ensure clean drinking water for residents of Mahisagar and Dahod.

These schemes will benefit at least 193 villages and 1 town. It will provide clean drinking water at the rate of 100 litres per person, per day to more than 4 lakh people. A total of 39 villages will benefit from this scheme.
