PM Modi to visit US on Feb 12-13, will meet President Trump: Foreign Secretary Misri

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit the United States on February 12-13, as confirmed by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Friday. During his visit, the Prime Minister will hold talks with US President Donald Trump.

“PM Modi will pay an official working visit to the US on February 12 and 13. This will be the first visit of PM Modi to the US after the inauguration of second presidential term of President Donald Trump. The PM would be among the first few world leaders to visit the US following the inauguration of President Trump,” Misri said at a special briefing of the ministry of external affairs (MEA).

The news of PM Modi’s visit follows a statement from a White House official, who revealed that President Trump had extended an invitation for the Indian Prime Minister to meet next week. On Monday night, a White House official confirmed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited to meet with President Donald Trump in Washington next week.
