
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will embark on a four-state visit across the country starting today. He will inaugurate a number of projects in Sikkim, West Bengal, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh. In Bihar, he will inaugurate a number of projects today and the remaining projects tomorrow.
In Sikkim, the Prime Minister will take part in ‘Sikkim@50: Where Progress Meets Purpose and Nature Nurtures Growth’ programme at around 11 AM. He will also lay the foundation stone and inaugurate several projects in the and address the audience.
Thereafter, he will leave for West Bengal, where he will lay the foundation stone of a few projects in Alipurduar and Cooch Behar districts in Alipurduar. Later in the day, he will be in Bihar and inaugurate the new terminal building of Patna Airport. Among projects he will inaugurate in Bihar include the newly constructed passenger terminal of Patna Airport, which has been built at a cost of around Rs 1200 crore.
Once operational, it will be able to handle 1 crore passengers per year. The PM will also lay the foundation stone of new civil enclave of Bihta Airport worth, which ahas been built at the cost of Rs 1410 crore. The Bihta airport will help in serving the city, which is rapidly growing as an educational hub near Patna. While Assembly polls in Bihar are scheduled this year, West Bengal will go on polls next year.
In Bihar too, the PM will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and dedicate several projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat, followed by an address to the gathering. He will then leave for Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur where he will lay foundation stone and launch projects worth nearly Rs 20,900 crore.
