New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Bikaner in Rajasthan on May 22 where he will lay the foundation stone, inaugurate and dedicate to the nation several big development projects. The total cost of these projects is over Rs 26,000 crore and they include schemes related to Railways, roads, power, water, and renewable energy.
The darshan at Karni Mata Temple
PM Modi will visit the famous Karni Mata Temple at Deshnok at around 10:30 am. After this, at 11:00 am, he will inaugurate the newly constructed Deshnok Railway Station under the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana and flag off a new express train from Bikaner to Mumbai.
103 Amrit stations dedicated to India
So far, 103 railway stations in 86 districts across the country have been renovated and they have been designed according to regional culture. For example, the Deshnok station is built based on temple architecture, while the Thawe station in Bihar is decorated with Madhubani paintings and pictures of Maa Thawewali.
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of a 58 km stretch of the Churu-Sadulpur rail line. Besides, electrification of Suratgarh-Phalodi, Phulera-Digana, Udaipur-Himmatnagar, Phalodi-Jaisalmer and Samdari-Barmer rail sections will be dedicated to the nation.
Road construction and connectivity of border areas will be strengthened
PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of three vehicle underpasses and several National Highway projects. He will also dedicate seven road projects to the nation, the total cost of which is over Rs 4,850 crore. These roads will provide access to the India-Pakistan border, facilitating the smoother movement of security forces.
Solar Energy and Power Projects
The foundation stone of solar power projects will be laid in Bikaner and Nawan. Also, projects like the transmission system and capacity enhancement of Fatehgarh-II power station will be inaugurated. These projects will promote clean energy and reduce carbon emissions.
25 major schemes of the Rajasthan government are also included
PM Modi will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 25 state government schemes. These include upgradation of 12 state highways (750 km), planning of 900 km new roads, power projects in Bikaner and Udaipur, and inauguration of nursing colleges in Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Bhilwara, Dholpur. He will also inaugurate the Rural Water Supply and Fluoride Control Project in Jhunjhunu district and Urban Water Supply Schemes of seven towns in Pali district.
