PM Modi says India-China relations will contribute significantly to global peace after meeting Wang Yi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday evening met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in New Delhi. Earlier in the day, Wang Yi also had a talk with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. On Monday, he also met External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar.

Highlighting the importance of India-China relations for regional and global peace and prosperity, PM Modi said in a post on X that the relations between both countries have made steady progress. He also expressed his willingness to attend the next meeting in Tianjin during the SCO Summit.

“Glad to meet Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Since my meeting with President Xi in Kazan last year, India-China relations have made steady progress guided by respect for each other’s interests and sensitivities. I look forward to our next meeting in Tianjin on the sidelines of the SCO Summit. Stable, predictable, constructive ties between India and China will contribute significantly to regional as well as global peace and prosperity,” PM Modi wrote on X.
