New Delhi: The day after Pakistan’s escalation attempt of sending hundreds of drones in Indian airspace, Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again met the chiefs of all three defence services along with Defence Minister Raj Nath Singh.
There has been an undeclared war between the two countries since Wednesday, when India launched a retaliatory attack on major terror hubs along LoC and Pakistan. The actions were taken against the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack carried out by groups backed by terror units based in Pakistan.
Responding to this, the Pakistan Army on Thursday launched a drone attack on Indian states bordering Pakistan. According to the reports by the Indian Intelligence, Pakistan sent around 300 to 400 Turkey-made Songar Drones. The shelling by Pakistan on Indian civilian areas resulted in 17 casualties and over 60 people getting injured.
India’s Akash air defence system successfully neutralised the incoming threats. In response, India conducted retaliatory strikes, destroying Pakistani air defence radar systems in Lahore.
