Gaya: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of several development projects in Gaya, Bihar. Before the event, he also held a roadshow in the city along with CM Nitish Kumar. Addressing the people, he spoke on several issues, including the introduction of three bills to remove the PM, CM and other Ministers if they are arrested for 30 days in a row. PM also talked about the demographic changes in the bordering regions of Bihar due to infiltration and vowed to tackle it.
Talking about the development of Bihar, the Prime Minister said, “In just one day in Gaya, projects worth Rs 12,000 crore have been inaugurated or initiated. These include energy, health, and urban infrastructure development projects.” These initiatives, PM said, will strengthen Bihar’s economy and create job opportunities for the youth. “For better health facilities, a new hospital and a research centre have also been inaugurated today,” he added.
Speaking on Operation Sindoor, Modi said, “I had promised to take decisive action against terrorists after the Pahalgam attack. Today, the whole world can see that this promise has been fulfilled. No Pakistani missile has been able to harm us.”
“During the rule of the RJD, Bihar was engulfed in darkness. Under the ‘lantern,’ Bihar was trapped in the clutches of ‘Lal terror’. Under the Congress-RJD government, projects remained incomplete for years,” Modi said.
‘No one should be allowed to run govt from jail’
“Every child in Bihar is aware of the corruption during the RJD era. No one should be spared from action against corruption. Today, the law is such that if even a small employee—whether a driver, clerk, or peon—is in custody for 50 minutes, he is automatically suspended. But if someone is a Chief Minister, Minister, or even Prime Minister, they can continue to enjoy their post even from jail. We have seen governments run from jails, files being signed, and orders being passed from jail. How can we fight corruption if politicians adopt this attitude?” PM said while talking about the newly introduced three Bills.
“No one should be allowed to run the government from jail. Therefore, we are making strict laws on this. But opposition parties are angered by it. They know what they have done. Many from the RJD and Congress are out on bail and facing cases. They fear that if they go to jail, their political ambitions will collapse. That is why they are opposing this law made in the public interest. Now the corrupt will lose both their power and their post. This is bound to happen,” PM said.
‘Infiltration has caused demographic changes in bordering regions of Bihar’
“The demography in the bordering regions of Bihar is changing rapidly. Therefore, the BJP government has decided that infiltrators will not be allowed to snatch opportunities from the native people. We will drive them out of the country. A mission is being planned to tackle infiltrators. But the RJD and Congress want to appease these infiltrators,” the PM said while talking about the problem of illegal immigration in Bihar.
