PKL match today: Patna Pirates secure dominant win, U Mumba win in thrilling showdown

New Delhi: Patna Pirates and U Mumba gave their fans a win on Diwali at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, on Thursday, October 31. Pirates defeated Dabang Delhi K.C. comfortably with a scoreline of 44-30. U Mumba was also back on the winning track by beating Jaipur Pink Panthers 39-37.

Devank and Ayan, Patna’s deadly duo made Super 10 each in the match, both scored 12 points respectively. The match started at a slow pace with some empty raids but Pirates raider Ayan opened the account for his team. Patna took the lead in the first half of 8 points but Delhi’s Vinay was charging on to reduce the lead of the Pirates.

At the start of the second half, Delhi gained momentum by their raiders and cut down the deficit to five points and also landed an all-out on Patna at the halfway mark of the second half. But the Pirates came back after the all-out and increased their lead to 13 points.

U Mumba edge past Jaipur Pink Panthers

U Mumba defeated Jaipur Pink Panthers with a score line of 39-37. Again the same old story for Pink Panthers in the match as their star raider Arjun Deshwal didn’t performed in the match. He just scored four points but his teammate Neeraj Narwal made a Super 10 in the match. Mumba were winless in their last two matches but in this game they were all prepared and gave a great team performance.

Mumba’s raider Ajit Chavan was the top scorer in the game by scoring 14 points in the match. Amirmohammad Zafardanesh and Rinku duo gave a match winning performance in the defense department. Both score four points each in the match.
