New Delhi: The Bengal Warriorz produced a brilliant performance and defeated the UP Yoddhas in match no.13 of Pro Kabaddi Season 11 on Thursday at the GMCB Indoor Stadium in Hyderabad. The Bengal Warriorz won the match with a score line of 32-29. Maninder Singh, Sushil Kambrekar and Nitin Dhankhar were the star performers for the Bengal Warriorz, while Bharat scored 13 points for the UP Yoddhas.

Maninder Singh started well for the Bengal Warriorz and picked up the majority of the points at the start of the match. Maninder Singh was supported quite well by in-form Nitin Dhankhar.

The Warriorz dominated the match and didn’t let the Yoddhas settle into a rhythm. Both sides were at equal points at the midway stage of the first half as the Yoddhas showed some fightback. The Bengal Warriorz made a great comeback in the match and went into the half-time break with a score of 12-11. Bharat scored five points for UP Yoddhas.

Both teams made a cautious start in the second half but Yoddhas scored the first point. The Warriorz and Yoddhas gave each other tough competition. The likes of Maninder Singh, Nitin Dhankhar and Sushil Kambrekar were the star performers for the Bengal side, while Bharat scored points UP Yoddhas. The Warriorz had a 1-point lead midway through the second half.

Nitin Dhankhar inflicted an all-out in the last 10 minutes of the match to extend his team’s lead. Fazel Atrachali superb defending also put more pressure on the UP Yoddhas. Bharat and Bhavani Rajput picked up crucial points in the last few minutes but the Warriorz won their first match of the season.

Haryana Steelers beat Jaipur Pink Panthers

In the second match, Haryana Steels delivered a dominating performance to beat Jaipur Pink Panthers by 37-25. Vinay scored a brilliant Super 10 for the Steelers and helped them to win the match.

The Haryana Steelers started well and picked up three points within the first few minutes of the game. Naveen and Vinay troubled the Pink Panthers in the initial phase. The Haryana Steelers established a 3-point lead as the match reached the halfway stage of the first half. Vinay scored 9 points in the first half as the Steelers went into the break with a score line of 20-11.

Jaipur Panthers made a cautious start in the second half but picked up the first point. The Steelers led by 12 points at the midway through the second half with Vinay and Naveen scoring 16 points between them. Vinay completed his Super 10 as the Haryana Steelers won the match comprehensively.
