New Delhi: The Indian Premier League (IPL) on Tuesday, November 5 revealed the list of 1574 players who have registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction. The big number will decrease by some distance before the mega auction.

The list contains all the marquee Indian players who were released by their IPL franchises ahead of the mega auction. Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer are listed at a base price of INR 2 crore. Pant led the Delhi Capitals and Rahul was the captain of the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) while Iyer won the IPL 2024 title with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).

Ravichandran Ashwin and Yuzvendra Chahal who were released by the Rajasthan Royals (RR) are also listed at a base price of INR 2 crore. India’s premium fast bowler Mohammed Shami, who hasn’t played any match after the 2023 ODI World Cup is also listed at INR 2 crore base price after getting released by the Gujarat Titans (GT).

The other Indian players who are listed at a base price of INR 2 crore are Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ishan Kishan, Arshdeep Singh, Krunal Pandya, Khaleel Ahmed, Mohammed Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Venkatesh Iyer, Avesh Khan, Mukesh Kumar, Prasidh Krishna, T Natarajan, Devdutt Padikkal, Harshal Patel, Washington Sundar, Shardul Thakur and Umesh Yadav.

Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc, who became the most expensive player in IPL history after he was bought by KKR for INR 24.50 crore in 2024 is back in the auction at a base price of INR 2 crore. England’s fast bowler Jofra Archer is also part of the list. The other overseas players who are listed at a base price of INR 2 crore are Jos Buttler, Glenn Maxwell, Steve Smith, Jonny Bairstow, Kagiso Rabada, Mark Wood and Gus Atkinson

Remaining purse of Each franchise after IPL retentions

Each IPL franchise can build a squad of 25 players maximum and there are 204 slots available at the mega auction after 46 players were retained by the ten teams from last season. Each franchise has a total purse of INR 120 crore to build their squads for the new season but after the retention, Punjab Kings have the biggest purse remaining (INR 110.5 crore) to spend at the mega auction. While Royal Challengers Bengaluru have the second-biggest purse of INR 83 crore.

Delhi Capitals have a remaining purse of INR 73 crore, Gujarat Titans (INR 69 crore), Lucknow Super Giants (INR 69 crore) Chennai Super Kings (INR 55 crore) while defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders have a remaining purse of INR 51 crore, Mumbai Indians (INR 45 crore), Sunrisers Hyderabad (INR 45 crore), Rajasthan Royals (INR 41 crore).
