India sounds warning to Pakistan

On Tuesday, India had sounded warning to Pakistan for breaching ceasefire and indulging in unprovoked firing along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.

The warning was sounded during a hotline conversation between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan, amid escalating tensions in the wake of the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack.

Pakistani Army has been carrying out unprovoked firing at various locations along the LoC since Thursday night, soon after India suspended the Indus Water Treaty following the Pahalgam attack.

On February 25, 2021, the Indian and Pakistani armies agreed to stop firing along the LoC, reaffirming their commitment to the 2003 ceasefire agreement. However, since the last week, this has been breached by the Pakistani Army.
