Pahalgam attack: Confidential documents related to Indian Army’s preparedness leaked? Here’s the truth

New Delhi: Since the Pahalgam attack on April 22, Indian government has promised to retaliate against the terrorists and their backers in Pakistan. However, there has been no talk of military action so far but the government has taken several steps including suspending Indus-Water treaty and asking Pakistan nationals to leave India.

On social media, alleged documents related to Indian’s preparedness to retaliate against Pakistan has been doing the rounds. These alleged leaked documents detail the plans of Indian army to teach a lesson to terrorists and their backers.

At least 26 tourists were brutally gunned down by terrorists in Baisaran meadow in Pahalgam in Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir on April 22.

What PIB says?

The Press Information Bureau (PIB), the central government’s agency to disseminate information to media, has come out with a clarification on these alleged documents. The PIB has termed these documents as fake and said, “Pro-Pakistan social media accounts are falsely claiming that confidential documents related to the preparedness of the Indian Army have been leaked.”
