‘No romance, not your private place’: Hyderabad cab driver’s warning goes viral

Hyderabad: A cab driver in Hyderabad has gained attention after warning passengers against showing affection in his vehicle. Venkatesh, a local resident, spotted the note on the back of the seat when he got into the cab. The driver’s message is both lighthearted and firm.

The note read, “Warning!! No romance. This is a cab, not your private place or Oyo. So please keep distance and stay calm.”

The post quickly went viral after being reposted by the X account ‘Hi Hyderabad’. It has collected over 85,600 views and over 1,500 likes. Many social media users found the message amusing, which was evident from the comments.

One user on X called it “An ethical and essential message for cab passengers.” Another commented, “Damn. Saw these in Bangalore and Delhi. Didn’t expect this in Hyderabad so soon.”

Just last week, a Bengaluru cab driver’s quirky set of rules went viral, sparking conversation on Reddit. A user who recently booked the cab shared a photo of the guidelines posted behind the driver’s seat, which quickly gained attention for its straightforward yet humorous tone. The notice included several rules encouraging passengers to behave respectfully. Some standout points were: You are not the owner of the cab; The person driving the cab is the owner of the cab.
