New Delhi: Nitish Reddy played a gem of an innings against Australia in the Boxing Day test match at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on December 28, Saturday. Reddy made his maiden Test century as he scored unbeaten 105 runs in 176 balls.
Reddy’s father Mutyalu Reddy was seen emotional after his son scored a brilliant century. After Day 3 of the fourth test match ended, Anushka Sharma was seen with the Reddy family and took some pictures on December 27.

Reddy’s father shared the photo on his social media as Anushka was spotted in a casual white dress. Mutyalu captioned the photo “A lovely moment”. Athiya Shetty, wife of KL Rahul was also spotted by the fans in the background of the photo.
Two weeks earlier, Anushka and Virat Kohli celebrated their seventh wedding anniversary in Australia. Anushka was also out of his professional work as she was last seen in Zero movie in 2018.
Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) posted a video after the day 3, in which Nitish was seen hugging his mother, sister and father. Reddy family was emotional after the Nitish’s performance in the boxing day test match.
India finish 358/9 on Day 3 end
India were struggling at one moment with 191/6 and the Aussies were on top to finish India’s first innings. From there, Washington Sundar and Nitish Reddy fought well with the bat. The duo played every ball on merit and avoided follow-on for Men in Blue.
Sundar scored his fourth half-century in his test career but immediately after his half-century, he was trapped by Lyon on 50 runs in 162 balls. Reddy was fighting from one end and reached his maiden test hundred.
With the great batting performance from Sundar and Reddy, India finished Day 3 of the fourth Test match om 358/9 and were trailing with 116 runs in the first innings.
