Promotional events

On 15 December 2024, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami launched the jersey, mascot, logo, and anthem of the games. Since then, preparations for the National Games have intensified. In this episode, three decorated promotional vehicles were sent off from Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Dehradun on 23 December 2024. Additionally, on 26 December 2024, a torch procession was started from Gaulapar in Haldwani. Meanwhile, the Sports Department has decided to promote the National Games anthem through garbage vehicles.

36 Types of Sports Included in the National Games

The 38th National Games will be held in Uttarakhand from 28 January to 14 February 2025. There are 36 types of sports included in the National Games, which also feature yoga.

Effort to connect the public with National games

The state government is planning to use garbage vehicles to connect the public with the National Games. These vehicles will convey the message of engaging people with the National Games 2025 in the tehsils and towns of all thirteen districts of the state. Additionally, the anthem of the National Games will be played on these garbage vehicles. To facilitate this, a list is being compiled by writing a letter to the District Magistrates of all the districts, including Dehradun.

Currently, the plan involves playing the lines of the sports anthem “Aan Ban Shaan Ke Shaurya Ka Praman Le Ektaar Sarvottam Hai Maidan Mein Na Koi Vikalp Ho Sankalp Se Shikhar Tak Vijay Gatha Likh De Aasman Mein” on the garbage vehicles. In the first phase, this initiative will be implemented in the districts where the National Games are to be held, including Dehradun, Haridwar, Pithoragarh, Udham Singh Nagar, Nainital, and Tehri.

Support of FM radio stations operating in the state will also be utilized

Special Sports Secretary Amit Sinha stated that through this effort, the aim is to connect the residents of the state with national sports. This can become an effective medium for promotion. Additionally, the support of FM radio stations operating in the state will also be utilized.
